Mission
THE "WHY" BEHIND THE CREATIONS
My mission is to create peaceful pottery for the home sanctuary. I believe that our spaces and the things we surround ourselves with have an affect on our moods and our minds. The idea of a home sanctuary is that you have a peaceful haven where you can come to everyday to rest and restore; a comforting place of refuge and rest in a noisy and chaotic world. Since we can’t control the world around us, shouldn’t we at least designate our little space on this planet to be a setting of peace? Everything in your home should be chosen with intention and purpose, and bring you peace.
Every action brings with it into the world unity or division. We are all creators with our lives everyday. Living with intention is an art and while I may fail many times, my intention is to add to the unity and peace in this world. I want to move with intention with my pottery by creating beautiful pieces.

My mission is to make pottery that when you see it in your home, it gives you a peaceful sigh or a feeling of contentment.

I do this through every aspect from start to finish.
Peace through the process
The swirling motion of the pottery wheel can be very soothing and hypnotizing, once you get the hang of it. Â Bringing everything towards the center, and everything in its right place.
Peace through the design
Most of my pieces reflect the organic form of flowers, because what can give more peace than nature!
Peace through the packaging
I have never bought bubble wrap!  All of my bubble wrap is obtained from other local female businesses, who otherwise would throw it away.  When their shipments come in, I glean whatever packaging materials are re-usable, lowering both of our waste and carbon footprints!
Peace through the color
I use a lot of white because it feels serene and reflects light. Â It takes up less space visually, and honors whatever color you put in the vase.
I also using a speckled earth tone because of its grounding qualities, which make me feel rooted and connected.
Peace through the senses
I like to include a sprig of lavender or eucalyptus in my packaging, so that when you open the box you are met with a relaxing and pleasant smell. Â I also consider the sense of touch when creating, and often base the shape of the base on how it will feel in your hand.
